Clear Plate: prints pushed off so the next one starts
After a print the nozzle pushes it off the front of the plate into a basket, so the next print starts by itself.
Clear Plate is an add-on, in beta. It is for large prints on supported Bambu printers with an open front: printing through the night without anyone clearing beds.
How it works
The print starts without the purge line. At the end the bed and nozzle switch off and the bed cools; then the nozzle comes down behind the print and pushes it off the front, once through its middle and then lane by lane across the bed.
What it needs
- An open front (door off or open on P1S and X1) and a basket below the front edge.
- A PEI plate that lets go of parts once cool; no glue.
- Prints at least 3 mm tall, one filament, at most 1 kg, without supports, brim or skirt (others are made the normal way).
Each printer has its own Clear Plate page (Printers, next to Optimize) with a safety checklist to tick before switching it on, a daily check that the front is open and the basket in place, and camera checks that the bed is empty before the next print starts.
