Print settings: for a product, a part or one print

Quality, layer height, strength (walls, top and bottom layers, infill and its pattern), supports and finish: set once for a whole product, per part, or for one print, and see where each setting comes from.

Every print slices with your printer's own preset for its quality (Standard, Fine, Draft, Strength) and the settings you change on top of it. The same panel is on the product page, on a part in File Manager, in a part's popup on the product page and on a print in the queue.

What you can set

  • Quality: Standard, Fine, Draft or Strength, or your own layer height (0.08 to 0.32 mm), and smart layers.
  • Strength: walls (1 to 10), top and bottom layers (0 to 20), infill (0 to 100 %) and its pattern (grid, gyroid, honeycomb, cubic, triangles, line, cross hatch, 3D honeycomb). Left empty, each follows the preset.
  • Supports: off, where needed or always.
  • Finish: default, ironing (smooth tops), fuzzy skin, or vase mode.
  • Advanced: your own process profile.

Which setting wins

From strongest to weakest: the print itself (changed in the queue or on the order line), the part in a variant, the part in the product (its popup on the product page), the product (the Print settings card on the product page), and last the part's own default in File Manager. A badge next to each setting says where it comes from: "set here" (with a reset), "from product", "from the part" or "printer default".

Setting a whole product

On the product page, the Print settings card sets every part of the product at once; the list next to it shows which parts follow it and which have their own. "Each part its own again" clears the product's settings. A change goes to prints that have not started yet.

A print with other settings than another one does not share a plate with it. The queue popup says why (see Plates).
