How shop orders are imported

When orders arrive, which ones are skipped, the statuses on the Orders page, and releasing orders by hand.

PrintSol checks your connected WooCommerce and Shopify shops every five minutes. Sync now under Settings → Channels pulls orders straight away. The first sync looks back 60 days.

The sync log: when, what came in, what was left out

Sync log on the shop row (Settings → Channels) shows when the shop was last checked, the last import, every order imported, every order left out and why, orders cancelled or completed in the shop, and errors. Filter by Imported, Left out, Updated, Errors or Sync runs, or search an order number.

An order in which none of the items is a PrintSol product (say, a sticker sold in the same shop) is left out on purpose. If you do print it, map the item under Mapping and it comes in on the next sync.

Which orders come in

  • Orders with at least one item mapped to a PrintSol product are imported. Their mapped lines get print tasks; unmapped lines are marked "unmapped".
  • Orders where no item is a PrintSol product are not imported. The Activity log notes each one, and its SKUs appear on the mapping screen.
  • Orders that are already completed or cancelled in the shop come in as history only, without print tasks.

Releasing orders

Each shop has a "Queue paid orders automatically" switch. On: new orders go straight to the Print Queue. Off: their print tasks wait in the queue as blocked ("Waiting for release"); open a task and press Retry to release it.

New orders get a promised ship date three working days after they were placed. Change it in the order with Set promised date.

The Orders page

Status chips: Open, Not queued, Queued, Printing, Printed, Packed, At risk (forecast later than promised), Due today, On hold, Unmapped, Shipped, Cancelled and All. You can also filter by marketplace, shop and date, and search by order, customer, tracking number or product.

Click an order for the drawer: customer and address, items, the print tasks, the money (revenue, true cost, margin) and history. Actions include Edit order, Queue for printing, Hold / Release, Mark shipped, Cancel and the labels.

Changes in the shop

An order cancelled or refunded in the shop is cancelled in PrintSol, together with its open print tasks. Orders that PrintSol has already marked shipped, closed or cancelled are not changed by the sync.

Orders you enter yourself

New order on the Orders page creates a manual order with customer, address and lines. It is numbered M1000 and up, and can be queued for printing right away.
