Notifications, the bell and the Activity log

Which e-mails PrintSol sends and to whom, what lights up the bell, and how to read the Activity log.

E-mail alerts

Settings → Notifications → What we email you. Each person sets their own switches; everything is on until you change it. Alerts go to owners and managers.

  • An order is going to miss its promised date (Farm and Studio plans).
  • A print failed.
  • Filament or finished stock is a week from running out.
  • The bridge has been unreachable for five minutes.
  • Morning digest: yesterday's prints, failures and machine hours, and today's due and at-risk orders.

Each alert is sent once, and again only after the problem has cleared and come back. The morning digest goes out at 08:00; the Send at time on that card is not used yet.

Billing messages (trial ending, payment failed, plan changes) are e-mailed to owners, managers and the billing address, whatever these switches say.

The bell

The Activity entry in the menu (a bell on a phone) counts warnings and errors since you last opened the Activity log: orange for warnings, red when there is an error. Printer pauses, printer errors, failed starts, a work label that was not printed and billing warnings all count. Pauses and printer errors are not e-mailed, so keep an eye on the bell.

The Activity log

Activity lists everything PrintSol did or could not do, newest first: who changed what, every start, every warning. Orange needs a look; red went wrong. Opening the page clears your bell.

  • Filter by Everything, Needs attention, Warnings or Errors.
  • Choose the last 24 hours up to the last year.
  • Search the log, and expand an entry for its details.

The dashboard's Needs you section also shows the latest errors, slipping orders, the last failed print, stock that runs out, labels waiting and low spools.
