Connect Bambu Cloud: e-mailed code, password or access token

Three ways to link a Bambu account, what Bambu Cloud gives you, and what it cannot do.

4 min read

Go to Printers → Connect printers → Bambu Cloud. Pick your region (Worldwide, or China for bambulab.cn accounts) and one of three sign-in options.

E-mailed code (the default)

Enter your Bambu account email. Bambu e-mails you a six-digit code; type it in and press Verify and connect. No password is sent to or stored by PrintSol, and this works for accounts that sign in with Google or Apple. Codes expire after a few minutes and each new request replaces the previous one, so always use the newest e-mail.

Email & password

Enter the email and password of your Bambu account. Bambu usually asks for a code as well; if you use an authenticator app, that code goes in the same box.

Access token

  • Open bambulab.com in Chrome or Edge and sign in.
  • Press F12, open the Application tab, then Cookies.
  • Find the cookie named "token". Its value is a long string starting with "eyJ".
  • Copy the whole value and paste it into the Access token box.

When the expiry date of a token is known, Linked accounts shows it, and PrintSol warns you a week before it runs out.

After connecting

PrintSol lists every printer on the account. Tick the ones you want and press Add. Printers imported from the cloud start in observe mode. Under Linked accounts you can Re-scan the account for new printers or disconnect it; printers and their history are kept.

What Bambu Cloud can and cannot do

  • Can: live status, progress, AMS contents and printer messages.
  • Can send pause, resume, stop and light commands, although Bambu firmware 01.08 and newer may refuse commands from software.
  • Cannot: upload a file to a printer. Printing from PrintSol always needs the bridge on your network.
Bambu does not publish this API. It is widely used by third-party tools but can change or rate-limit without notice. PrintSol allows five connection attempts per ten minutes, because Bambu locks accounts that retry too often.
