October was a busy month. Most of the changes make the queue safer, make costs and VAT easier to trust, and cut the clicks between a paid order and a parcel on the doorstep. Here is what a farm can do now.
Queue and plates
Auto-combine. Prints of the same filament that are waiting for a printer are put together on one bed when they fit. Prints that do not fit go separately. Auto-print also starts these plates once they are sliced, on a free printer of the right model with the filament loaded.
Print settings. A part now remembers how it prints (quality, supports, its own profile, copies per bed) from the slice you made. Everywhere you plan a print there is a Print settings picker. Only prints with identical settings share a plate, and a print that already fills its bed is never combined.
Safer plates. A plate print uses the AMS tray holding the plate's filament and is refused if that filament is not loaded. Plates close when their prints are cancelled or end, so none sits on "printing" with nothing on it. The queue board is calmer too: cards are the same height, and only a card that needs you gets a coloured border.
Fewer false alarms. A print PrintSol has just started is no longer marked failed, or e-mailed, while the printer still reports idle as it heats and levels.
Orders, shelf stock and shipping
Shelf stock. For products you keep on the shelf, an order takes free stock first. A print to stock is queued only when the shelf drops below its target. An order filled entirely from the shelf goes straight to Pack, with a FROM STOCK banner on its work label.
Scan twice to ship. Scan a work label a second time within 15 minutes, with every part printed, and PrintSol makes the Sendcloud label and prints it on your label printer. Labels abroad use your chosen method for that country, or otherwise the cheapest Sendcloud method of at least that size. Labels outside the EU include the customs declaration.
Shops and addresses. WooCommerce and Shopify addresses are now read in full, including house number, additions, company and phone. Shop items are matched by your mapping, then SKU, EAN and exact name. A second shop's product with the same EAN or SKU links to the one you already have. Marketplace orders arriving through Commerlo whose item is not a product in your shop are now read as items rather than left out.
Costs, money and VAT
You can set price, end value and lifetime for every printer of a model at once under Settings, Costs, and see the machine cost per hour. Revenue ex VAT is now what the customer paid minus VAT, shipping included, and an order's shipping line is the real label cost. Under Settings, VAT you choose no VAT, home country only, OSS, or what the shop charged.
Filament
Filaments has a new Added spools list where you can edit price, weight, supplier and date. Set a default price per kg, per material type if you like. Without a spool price, costs use the average of your spools of that type, then your defaults, and the cost card says which it used. Colours are now plain colours, so a product sold in Black prints on any black filament of its type. Filaments are named one way everywhere, such as PLA Basic · Bambu Green · Bambu Lab.
Scanning works better on a phone. There is a Scan page in the browser for booking in, mounting or emptying spools and opening orders from their work label. The camera works in the common modern browsers, and the scanner says why if the camera is blocked.
Personalised printing and resizing
Two paid add-ons arrived under Add-ons. The Letter maker turns a name, font, height and style into a 3D model you can send to the queue, a project or a new product. Personalised shop orders can read the name from the order and queue the letters. The SVG to 3D add-on turns an SVG into a printable model and warns about lines too thin to print. Separately, you can now resize any model by percentage or exact millimetres, per part and per variant.
Printers and slicing
PrintSol Bridge 0.9.3 is tested against Klipper and OctoPrint themselves: upload, start, progress, pause, resume, cancel and finish. These models are marked "Slices and controls (beta)" until they have run on a physical printer, so treat them as beta. Slicing is fixed for Prusa MK4S and CORE One profiles. When a P1 or A1 camera stream drops, the tile now says why.
Account and billing
Every payment gets a PrintSol invoice as a PDF, and you can download several at once as a ZIP. Business customers can add a VAT number, checked with VIES. You can sign in with a passkey, and Ctrl K searches orders, products, files and more.
