Picking a colour: any red, or exactly Bambu Hot Pink
One colour menu on every page, with two tabs: Colour for any spool of a colour, Exact filament for that one spool. Both can be searched.
Wherever you set the colour a print is made in (the queue, a product, a part, a variant, the makers, the File Manager, projects, drawings, letters, the default colour in Settings), PrintSol shows the same colour menu. Click the field to open it.
Colour: any spool of that colour
The Colour tab has the plain colours: Black, White, Grey, Silver, Red, Pink and so on. Pick Red when you do not mind which red: any red spool of the right type that is loaded will print it (Charcoal counts as Black). A colour named after a filament wins over a shade: Silver takes a filament called Silver before a grey whose shade looks silver.
Exact filament: that spool and no other
The Exact filament tab lists your own filaments by brand, with a tag on the ones loaded in a printer now. Pick Bambu Lab PLA Basic Hot Pink when it must be that one. The field then says "exact", and the queue and auto-print only start it on a printer that has that very filament loaded. When none has it, the card turns orange and your phone hears it once.
Searching
- Colour: type red, zwart or mint.
- Exact filament: type a name, a brand, a finish or a type (hot pink, bambu, matte, PETG). Tick "Only what is loaded in a printer" to see just those.
In the makers the Colour tab also shows the named shades, and you can still type any hex colour below the menu. A printer tray takes an exact filament only, so its menu opens on that tab.
