Auto-combine and auto-start: full beds by themselves

Prints of one filament that fit one bed become a plate, are sliced as one job and start on a free printer with that filament loaded, without pressing Go.

3 min read

Switch Auto-combine on in the Print Queue header. Every minute, prints of the same filament and the same print settings that wait for a printer are laid out together on one bed when they fit, most urgent first. A print pinned to a printer only rides with prints for that printer.

3MF prints

Single-colour 3MF files join a plate as their model, placed as their project placed them. A multi-colour 3MF can be the plate’s project with single-colour prints around it; two multi-colour 3MFs never share a plate, and the plate card says why.

Starting by themselves

With Auto-print on (Print Queue header), a sliced plate starts on an idle printer of its model with its filament loaded, the same as a single print. The Go button on a plate card is for starting one by hand, for example on a printer of your choice. Click the plate’s title to open its prints.

Left out: prints on hold or with a reason on the card, pre-sliced files, multi-plate projects and personalised prints whose letters are still being made.
