Labour, energy and touchpoints in your costs

Settings → Costs holds what your time and power cost. True cost uses them for every print and product.

• Labour rate per hour: what an hour of your (or your team’s) work costs.
• Touchpoints: the minutes each hands-on step takes per bed: loading filament, starting the print, taking it off the plate, removing supports, the quality check and packing. Set them for the whole farm, or per part when one needs more.
• Energy price per kWh: used when a printer has no smart plug measuring its real use.

A bed of 12 small parts shares its touchpoint minutes over the 12, which is why combining prints on one plate makes each part cheaper.
